You mean the Palestinians should take the Israeli's as an example.......?
Here are some of the "examples..."
1 T this moment Avigor Lieberman, is on trial for fraud, bribery and money laundering. Meanwhile his place at the table is being kept whilst Netanyahu takes over as Foreign Minister, in case Lieberman returns.
2 Ehud Olmert had to resign as Prime Minister for bribery and corruption charges.
3. President Katsav imprisoned for sexual assault.
4" Areyrh Deri, Shas religious party leader. Imprisoned for bribery.
5" Even the illustrious President Ezra Wiezman had to resign for crib dry charges.
So honesty doesn't figure very highly in Israeli government circles, does it?

Auto correct.
I hate it.

Its my understanding, Jackie, that the Israeli position is, "We are open to immediate negotiations, with no preconditions."
Generally speaking, that's how negotiations are generally conducted, conditions are the REASON FOR negotiations, ie, that is what is to be negotiated.

If one side says, for example, "We want this, this and that, and THEN we'll negotiate,"
Doesn't that preclude negotiations?

Was your iPad made or bought in Jenin or Ramallah by any chance?

Author: Jackie Jaidy PostPosted: Fri May 17, 2013 9:17 pm    Post subject:

Nope. in the UK.
To answer Mike re preconditions.
I agree that there should be direct talks with no preconditions.if that is possible. Unfortunately there is so much mistrust between both sides that they need support and reassurance from strong mediation..
For the Palestinians, there is almost nothing to talk about as we see the settlements gobbling up what is left of a potential Palestinian state. Today we see that 4 illegal outposts which were slated for demolition are now to be legalised.
Difficult to believe that Israel really does want two states as the solution.
