The Steven Spielberg Jewish Film Archive offers over 200 films to the public through this online project. The site promises to make 500 films available for online viewing at a rate of 100 new films added each year. The films are an amazing resource for anyone interested in 20th-century Jewish life or the history of the little slice of the Middle East now called Israel. The range of films documents Jewish life in pre-Holocaust Europe and around the world, includes Holocaust material, and contains footage of Palestine/Israel dating back to 1911. Exceptional design and navigation lend further polish to this brilliant Web site. The design elements invoke a theatre ambience for guests as they watch historical footage. This site is undeniably an invaluable resource for educators, historians, and students, and will remain so for many years to come. _________________ He who is merciful with the cruel, will end-up being cruel to the merciful

Great site Nannette, I've bookmarked it. My only complaint is that some of the films are extremely biased, focussing solely on the Israeli plight. Asside from that little detail, I'm recommending it to everyone. I have faith in Spielberg, he's a rational perfectionist whose thoughts shouldn't be ignored. I give Spielberg the benefit of the doubt, although he grew up in a middle-class environment and wasn't much exposed to anti-semitism.
Great Site Nanoo, thanks!
A side note: Spielberg was against the invasion of Iraq.
Spielberg has archived as much film about Jewish history as he could...
The films of Israel are the pioneers who built Israel, before the Arabs came to work there... so why is that one sided? _________________ He who is merciful with the cruel, will end-up being cruel to the merciful
