Help the IDF, they need fresh underwear, food, money for the injured and families of the fallen are being made available by the LIBI Fund. Stuff is being dropped of to the troops as fast as it can. But they need more.

Gerald Honigman has just published a major book, "QUEST FOR JUSTICE", the result of decades of study on the Middle east.

Jerry was denied a PhD because he was too pro-Israel. But he wasn’t daunted and went on to crown his years of study with this book rather than a PhD.

I read an article entitled "Israel tallies up compensation claims by Iraq's Jews" by Michael Fishchbach (http://www.dailystar.com.lb/article.asp?edition_id=10&categ_id=5&article_id=8047) which draws direct comparisons between property that was forcibly left behind by the Iraqi Jews prior to 1948 and the alleged property from the same time period claimed by the "Palestinians" today.

This is a dangerous line of argument because it establishes de facto that the "Palestinian" claims are equally as valid as the claims of not only Arab Jews that fled from Iraq but also the proposed forced removal of Jews in Sharon's "disengagement plan". That is exactly what is done every time someone uses the term "cycle of violence" - imply that both sides are equally involved in both the violence and its escalation. Indeed, it is the deliberate misuse of words to establish a "fact" which is used to such great effect by the Arabs in creating their "history".

When one speaks of compensation for abandoned property for the "Palestinians", a major factor that must be kept in mind is that the vast majority of Arabs who are claiming compensation NEVER LIVED IN PRE-1948 ISRAEL! Further, nearly all of Arabs who did actually lived on land that is presently part of Israel, DID NOT OWN THE LAND THEY LIVED ON!

Several months ago, I was doing some research on the actual numbers of Jewish and Arab refugees in pre-1948 Israel. Exact figures for either are impossible to attain but reasonable approximations are available for the Jewish populations. Just as it was Nazi records that verified the number of Jews who were deported and murdered, there are often Arab government records of Jews who left, precisely because so many of them left all property (not just land) behind and this was recorded by the Arabs.

Depending on the source, the figures for Jews from Arab countries can be reliably accounted for at least 600,000 people and probably closer to 850,000. There are no comparative documents for Arabs so any figures that are used are nothing but guesses. The old Turkish records did not bother about landless Arabs at all and the British were forced to take the word of the village headman for numbers of people in their village. Most Arabs were illiterate and had nothing to do with any government - Turkish, British or Israeli. Of course there never was any "Palestinian" government to have records. (Even today, the exact number of Bedouins in Israel is not known. All population numbers are approximate based on those Arabs who avail themselves of government services. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Society_&_Culture/Bedouin.html)

When the Arabs left pre-1948 Israel, no one in the government - whether British or Israeli - had to be notified so no external records were ever made. This is in sharp contrast to the Iraqi Jews who are using actual documents to establish their claims to compensation!

The vast majority of Arabs who actually lived in pre-1948 Israel were extremely poor - they simply didn't have any personal property to register and they certainly didn't own real estate.

All Jewish neighborhoods were established on uninhabited land just as the Israelis continue to do today with more recently built communities. Often this was because the land that was purchased (and these documents are still available) was either swampland or desert.

It was Jewish determination that turned the land into lush farms and thriving cities; the Jews did not move into established Arab villages. (This is very different from what is proposed in Gush Katif where the Israelis are expected to give over their beautiful homes, civic centers and productive farms to the very people who have stopped at nothing in their ongoing efforts to destroy them in yet another bid for an imaginary peace.)

Before any talk of compensation by the Israeli government for the "Palestinians" should even be considered, valid documents must be produced and authenticated. Demanding such documentation will go a long way towards exposing the Arab "right of return" for the deliberate propaganda that it is. Let the "Palestinians" prove they owned property in pre-1948 Israel and only then talk of compensation.

Again re-writing history I see??? The British would have kept the records, just like they kept the records of land purchased by the Jews!

Your ignorance on these matters is truly underwhelming!!!!!

NOTE: IIRC, the followup on the Quranic Quotation was by one Ben77 of Israel from the Old New York Times Forums ... but it's a good quote no matter where it came from.

... playing with words IS fun ... but Arafats word play is intended to establish the right to kill.

... if ABRAHAM was a proto-iraqi then he must necessarily be British ... in that he left 'Iraq' as did the Brits ... by that logic, then the Empire must be Islamic and the Anglo Heirarchy (or protocol) of Catholicism, then Church of England evolved because the Brits forgot they were 'good Muslims'.

AFTERTHOUGHT: did i forget to mention CBS has (or soon will have) documents to prove this ???

AFTERTHOUGHT 2: did i forget to mention FOX NEWS has (or soon will have) documents to prove Ishmael was impotent ???
